Founded in 1979, we are proud members of the
Four Wheel Drive South
Australia (known as FWDSA).
Our main aim is to provide a common meeting place for individuals and families with similar interests in four wheel driving and associated activities.
More Fun More Safely
We members of the Nissan Patrol Club like having fun. Many of us have caravans, boats, canoes and other fun-type paraphernalia, most of us like to travel around Australia on trips both near and far, but all of us have four wheel drive vehicles.
Furthermore, we have all learned to drive them properly. So when we go on a trip where really fun places are off the
beaten track, we can park our vans and carry on. We do not have to miss anything!
Within our club we have our own driver trainers and assessors and we regularly hold sand-driving classes. We also teach our members mud-driving, rock climbing, water-crossing, snatching, etc., but not regularly. Correct, safe driving techniques are mandatory – the fun aspect simply follows naturally.
Our club runs many trips each year, some of which are for trying out our four-wheel driving skills, but many are simply to visit new
places and see new things.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month from February to December
at the Challa Gardens School in Humphries Tce., Kilkenny. Meetings
start at 7.30 pm. and usually
finish by 9.30 pm with a BYO supper. If you have a 4WD we would love to meet you and have you join us
having more fun more safely.
